Batching and loading station Batching Master 110 i / Batching Master 210 i
The Batching Master is a control instrument, especially designed for the automation of a batch function, where a precise result is required. The Batching Master as a "stand alone version" is a fully functional device that requires just one power supply. The operator has all the information that needed for a safe batching process local to the plant. The batch is started directly at the point filling. If there is a failure in the system, the batch can be stopped immediately. Error messages are displayed in clear text. (Product presentationi) Display
Precise batchingThe Batching Master opens the valve with a 4 - 20 mA output signal. Because of the soft start ramp and the five shut down steps also small quantities are filled with highest accuracy. "Hammers" in high flow rate system are prevented. No pressure "hammer"in high flow rate systems. This is eliminated because of the soft start ramp and the shut down ramp of the 4 - 20 mA signal.Flow metersAll types of flow meters can be connected. The input can be configured for:
PID controller function (option)
Terminal functionIt is possible to use the Batching Master as an human interface to a supervisory system. It is possible that the user can enter an order number, an user access code or a product selection. The supervisory system communicates with the Batching Master via Modbus protocol. Up to 16 characters for two lines can be set via MODBUS interface. It is possible to get simple solutions with a ticket printer which delivers the entered data and the batch data after each batch.Low flow rate monitoringSensor break monitoringThe Batching Master stops the batch if a sensor break with the mA input circuit or with the Namur contact input circuit occurs.Digital inputsWith digital inputs several functions are possible: Purge function, start, stop, set and reset, releases for the batch and switching on the controller functions. Two customer specific error messages for release functions
Automatic and manual filling/purge functions for the measuring system
It is also possible to fill or purge the system automatic before each batching process for a programmed time or until a contact at a digital input indicates liquid in the pipe. Product selection with three function keys
Average density during the batchSometimes the density of the product is an important quality characteristic which has to be reported after the filling process. The density signal from the mass flow meter can be connected to analoge input 2 of the Batching Master. This information ar shown after pushing the RC-key
Batch system for ultra pure water using a circulatory systemIn this application the water flows continuously through a mass flow meter and then back into the circulatory system. The valve in the return line is controlled by a digital output of the Batching Master. After the start of a batch, the return flow valve will be forced to close and a pause time initiated. At the end of the pause time, the 4 – 20 mA output to the batching shut-off valve rises and the real batch begins. The Batching Master is programmed in a way that it only meters the flow when the real batch is running. (Application Note ultra pure water batch system)Batch systems for custody transferWhen tankers and wagons are loaded with a custody transfer batch system, it's not necessary to use expensive weighbridges. Also the dwell time for tankers being loaded will be reduced. The batching data are logged to a printer. Using a multiplex system up to 16 Batching Masters can be connected at one printer. Different types of printers are available. Storage of process data Monitor - Batching Master in der Messwarte (Product presentation) |
